Jennifer Lynn Connelly’s career in Hollywood was conceived at the recommendation of a family friend, and she proceeded to work in modeling. After making her film debut in the 1984 gangster flick Once Upon a Time in America, the American actress got a big break from her Academy Award-winning performance in A Beautiful Mind, where she portrayed a wife battling schizophrenia.
Connelly’s best known for her roles in movies like Hulk, Requiem for a Dream, Career Opportunities, and Blood Diamond. She is set to co-star alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick, which premieres in November 2021.
