Susan Boyle – Blackburn – $396K

Susan Boyle rose to fame through Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. Since then, she’s sold an estimated 19 million records. From the proceeds of her first album, I Dreamed A Dream, she bought a five-bedroom house for an estimated $396K. She dubbed it “The Posh House” but barely used it. She explained that she felt more at home in the cramped council house where she grew up. She decided to give it to friends and family who could make better use out of it. She granted The Big Issue magazine a guided one-off tour of the home, which houses a grand piano adorned with photos of her parents.
