The real-life romance of Kevin James is much more joyous than that of the character he represented in the well-known TV show Kevin Can Wait, in which the producers surprisingly chose to terminate the protagonist’s wife. That being said, James has been married to Steffiana de la Cruz for 13 years, being her only husband. De la Cruz is widely recognized for appearing in some of her husband’s most successful films, including Paul Blart: Mall Cop (both 1 and 2) and Zookeeper. She has also been seen in several episodes of King of Queens.
