Despite their separation following Phil’s announcement of being gay in 2020, he has chosen to continue wearing his wedding band as a symbol of their enduring commitment.
In an interview with BBC journalist Amol Rajan, Phil proudly displays his ring, affirming, “I had a wonderful marriage, have a wonderful marriage, although it’s not brilliant right now, with an incredibly supportive wife and two wonderful children.”
However, he somewhat confusingly adds, “We are separated but we are very much together.”
Friends reveal that Stephanie, the mother of his two grown-up daughters, was unaware of his relationship with a young runner on This Morning. Phil had dismissed the rumors as “untrue” and “BS,” which she believed.
