Robby Benson — Born in 1956

Robby Benson is an accomplished American performer who has achieved success in a variety of artistic fields. At the age of 14, he made his Broadway debut and was the first actor to portray Bruce Carson on the television series ‘Search for Tomorrow.’
Asides from being the voice of the Beast in Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ Robby has also taught film production at several universities for about two decades. He has been nominated for both the David Payne-Carter Award for Teaching Excellence in 2010 and the NYU’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 2006. In his 60s, the writer is still much involved in music and film productions and hasn’t given serious consideration to retirement.
